Welcome to Grafton, West Virginia

Parkview Church of the Nazarene is in the community of Parkview, which is part of the extended area of the town of Grafton West Virginia.
The county seat of Taylor County, Grafton, WV was originally chartered in 1858, and named in honor of John Grafton, a civil engineer in the employment of Colonel Benjamin Latrobe, who laid out the route of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad in 1852 across what was then Northwestern Virginia.
Grafton is better known for the Tygart Lake and state park, as well as a local resident; Ann Maria Reeves Jarvis who is credited with the idea for a national Mother's Day. The Andrews Methodist Episcopal Church is the site of the Mothers Day Shrine.

Directions


From US50, at Four Corners turn to 119 South toward downtown Grafton.
From US119 ( Morgantown ) once at Four Corners , keep going 119 toward downtown.

Once going south on 119 from Four Corners , turn left at the first light, toward the iron bridge. Once on the iron bridge, turn a 180degree left. (almost like a U turn to the side of the bridge.)About half a mile, there will be a bridge to the right, do not take it, keep merging left toward a one way street. Keep going until the community of Parkview (about 2 miles) where the church will be on the right side, marked Parkview Church of the Nazarene, with a blue building on the left side.

From US 119 South (Philipi)

Once at Grafton, instead of turning left toward 119N, turn right, passing the railroad tracks. At the first stop sign, turn left, passing Foodland and crossing the bridge. At the end of the bridge turn right toward a one way street. Keep going until the community of Parkview (about 2 miles) where the church will be on the right side, marked Parkview Church of the Nazarene, with a blue building on the left side.
